There are hundreds of factors in terms of education and one is the learning and life skills for youth and adults. Increased with 35 percent as shown in the number of enrolees from 246,072 in 2007-2008 to 387, 150 in 2012-2013, the technical skills and training programs have caught the interest of the adults and youth to educate themselves.
The said program have been provided to qualified and interested secondary level students through the DepEd Tech-Voc program that advocates to help out of school youth and others who did not complete secondary classes to be able to study life skills which can be used in working in factories and other related works.
On the other hand, the employment rate among graduates was likewise on the rise from 48.5% in 2005 to 65.3% in 2013. But this increase is definitely far from the envisioned 100% employment rate of graduates. More jobs should be opened to newly graduates to achieve this goal and to prevent hardworking Filipinos work abroad.
It can be observed that workers who are undergraduate beam larger number than that of graduates. Technical vocational courses are the reasons why workers who are undergraduates were able to be trained in community works such as garments, machinery, welding and many other related courses.
It is good to see that even undergraduates are now able to work without humiliation. With just a short time of training, doors of opportunities were opened to them. What the industry today needs is manpower.
The industries nowadays require more hands on jobs where perseverance and hard work is needed. Even teachers, equipped themselves with technical courses offered by TESDA, to enhance their skills.
Hard work outshines talents and tactics surpasses intelligence. If you cannot balance things, then you won’t succeed in your chosen career.
