As we look back when the K-12 Program implemented there are hackers and bashers that do not want to this program. As we look again, you will see something even more wherein, an endless supply of people willing to praise this stuff. Researches and most of the known educators gave their time to create a new system and approaches that will suits to the needs of our learners. They come up with the so called, the 21st Century skills.

            What are 21st Century skills? The 21st century skills are a set of abilities that students need to develop in order to succeed in the information age. This learning and skills develops the students to think logically and critically in higher order. It’s help and improves the teaching and learning process into more efficient and effective educative process. The 21st Century Skills are grouped into three types. The first one is the Learning skills wherein learners will develop their critical thinking, creative thinking, communicative skills and collaborative skills or so called social skills. This type of skills creates a student that can analyse something better, create expansive, open-ended innovation and discovered possibilities. The second type of the 21st century skills is the Literacy Skills. It help the students gain knowledge through reading as well as using media and technology. These skills also helps the pupils create knowledge through writing as well as developing media and technology. We all know that we are living through technological revolution, with huge changes taking place over brief spans of time; we need initiative to look forward for these changes. Lastly, The Life Skills, this equip students to thrive in the classroom and in the world beyond. The 21st Century skills are flexibility, initiative, social skills, productivity and leadership.

Thru this we are stepping forward with an idea and the risk of bringing it to fruition. The teachers as well as the learners of the new curriculum need to learn how to set goals for themselves, plan how they will reach their goals and enact their plans.
