Effective teaching may be the hardest job according to Glasser, 2006. An effective teacher is the one who leaves a striking, lasting effect on the students, a teacher that continuously turning points in the children lives. A teacher who has left a mark in some way or form, all because of their successful approach to teaching and their commitment to the students learning.
Teaching is a commitment. It is such a complicated occupation, filled with a multitude of problems, the teacher has to have both mind and heart for it in order to cope. Dealing with the different types of students serves as a challenge for the teachers, but because of his dedication in his profession, he is able to accomplish more than expected.
Effective teachers should have high expectations for their entire class. Whether a student constantly makes hundreds on test or a fifty, each student should be given a positive reinforcement in class or remedial class for them to master the lessons. Effective teachers should exhibit a positive expectations to ensure each student believes they can excel. Teachers should know how to motivate students to study and learn their lessons and telling each student that they have the abilities to be on top of the class. Encouraging them to exert effort in their studies.
Educators need to have proper classroom management skills in order to become an effective teacher. Classroom management is not just a discipline alone, but it deals with how to take a roll, keep an effective grade book and how to deal with the different qualities of your students.
One of the most important skills for an effective teacher to master is how to design and implement lessons in the classroom. Designing lessons that will be suited to the needs of the students especially in this modern times. The students of today are born into a world that we never knew. A world that is continuously changing, so as teachers be creative…start a day with a big smile and a loving heart for your profession and for your students…
