Today we can’t imagine ourselves without technologies advancements as cars, microwaves, cellphone, computers, televisions etc. Technology doesn’t just stop there, rather it develop further. Technology brings advantages but it brings more disadvantages as well. Therefore, it may move us forward but then it also lead us to a place where in the future time bring chaos to many components of the world particularly to our environment. It so easy to think about the advantages of modern technology but people argue that this too destroys mankind. Our world today has changed a great deal with the aid of technology. It may have led the nations to become closer through globalization in terms of economy and communication; video conferencing; computerizing the business process and the like. These really increase productivity; give rise to profits; purchasing from different countries easier and more convenient. Added more computers programmers, system analyzers, hardware and software developers, web designer are just some of the many new employment opportunities created with the help of the latest technology. World of medicine has gone along way inventing certain cure for cancer diseases. It has also saved great deals of time and money and life was made easier as a result of not having to do all the hard labor. But come to think of it as we move ahead with these changes- certain aspects are the risk. First our environment; with such progress, our main resources are affected. Secondly, it somehow produced unemployment too since it offered and streamlined the business process it has also created job redundancies, downsizing and outsourcing. A lot of lower level job have been done away causing more people to become unemployed which in return affects our economy. Though technology made communication quicker and easier, it has also brought privacy issues, from cellphone signal interceptions to email hacking, people are now worried about private information becoming public knowledge. Job security at present is also a big issue now a days- one has to be in a constant living mode if he wishes to be secure at his present status. Domination of culture has also been an ill-product of technology. It has made the world a global village dominating culture of other nations affecting mostly those weaker ones. The cited situations are just some of the advantages and disadvantages of the so called technology. It helps us a lot yet at the same time effects are seen around.
