For the past years of my life as Technology andLivelihood Educationteacher, it has been my going quest to impart to all my students the beauty behind cosmetology as a viable avenue to entrepreneurship.
Technically, cosmetology covers the study and application of beauty treatments, hairstyling, skincare, cosmetics, manicure, pedicure, permanent and non-permanent hair removal such as waxing, sugaring, and intense pulse light, etc.
Everywhere you go, beauty enhancers are for sale!Cream, soap, lotion …name it, they have it!
Admit it, you are vain too! A lot of us spend a lot of money for finding the fountain of youth, again “We continuously crave in achieving a youthful glow / flawless skin, thick hair and sexy body despite our age, gender and social status in life. And be hold! Here comes the pleasure of my “being TLE teacher”! No matter how simple the initial trainings and knowledge my students are acquiring from my cosmetology session with them, we can’t deny the help it gives them to become possible future young entrepreneurs!
If by chance, someone wasn’t able to go to college for academic education, he/ she with his/her skills and earnest desire to make it in life, can make use of the skills and he/she has gotten from our TLE subject. It’s definitely aviablefall back. Practical knowledge and pondering of talents / skills for survival are what a Technology and Livelihood Education aims and provides.
Countless students of mine may not be of that grand in their achievements, but undeniably, they were helped by their trainings in my cosmetology subject. Am I proud as TLE teacher? Yes, I am and forever will be proud as a TLE teacher! But most importantly, I am returning all my thanks to my original mentor, Mr. Ricky Reyes who untiringly taught me all the way…
Be more blessed!
