“I think I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree, a tree whose hungry mouth is full…” famous line from Joyce Kilmer’s composition.

Indeed, poems are made by fools like me but wait, I must be fortunate as I always consider the art of poetry. It is through poem where I can express my deepest and fondest emotions to those people I  cherish most, to those places I treasure most, to those sufferings and painstaking problems I had, to those events that occurred in my life.

Robert frost once quoted “A poem begins with a lump in the throat, a homesickness on a loveliness. As different authors my define poetry in different ways, it’s best to say that poetry is the language of the soul”. As it appeals to the ears, it deeply touches and arouses our feelings.

Poetry is a “picture set to music”. It has rhyme and rhythm. Just like a song, every line and stanza of it can make every one more alive, dream and aspire. It expresses not just an idea but more of thoughts as it appeals to the reader or listener’s emotion via message it wishes to convey, as it utilizes appropriate or figurative language such as figures of speech or ever idiomatic expressions, poetry is considered the best.

Poetry-an art like music, painting or sculpture makes everyone feel that he is more than the artistic. With the essence of the art of poetry, who could ask for more?
