Pronunciation—the art or manner of pronouncing words. A common problem or difficulty most students encounter in learning English as a second language.

            Everyone knows that some words are oftentimes mispronounced. It’s quite difficult to pronounce words correctly. Phonetics alphabet should therefore be considered. Each learner should be guided by his English mentor in utilizing Webster’s New International Unabridged Dictionary. Others may use Webster’s dictionary or a Thesaurus. These dictionaries will serve as the transcription for pronunciation. The vowel and consonant sounds are expressed by simple phonetic syllables in order to construct the required sounds unmistakable. Pronouncing the words correctly several times then writing the correct spelling of the given word will be a training ground to speak fluently. The syllable that gets the stress will be of help in pronouncing words accurately.

            So it is best advised that as you do your best in improving pronunciation, see to it that you observe the art of powerful speaking.
