They said that teaching is the noblest profession. Yes it is true. Teachers have qualities that many admire such as courage, honesty, dedication, and determination. The nobility of the profession makes it more interesting. Since it is noble, the artistic way of delivering it spells the difference. Teaching is a process of transferring knowledge and skills among students. It gives the foundation of learning. Through teaching, discovering mysteries is light. Teaching trains the mind of the learner to prepare for the real life challenges. It also conditions the character of the learner to become responsible young men and women. To the nation where education is the weapon to face the future, teaching is like an echo that pays back what you did.
Teaching is not an easy vacation. It needs patience, passion, creativity, and willingness to accept that students learn in different learning styles, so teachers have to adapt on the styles every learner possesses. Teacher has to make sure that his products will be delivered on time and be sold at the right market. Teachers are like gasoline that fueling the learners to prepare for more adventures. They inspire learners even if adversities coming into their ways. They help students in making dreams possible. Teachers want student to believe on their capabilities and potentials.
Teaching is not about learning the concepts and skills of today’s world; teaching is about developing good character and providing opportunities for students to use their full potentials. Teaching may be disliked by many, but if you look at the beauty of it you will realize that this is the right choice. The life of a teacher is not the life doctors, lawyers, and businessmen have when it comes to resources. But with the heart willing to sacrifice everything, teacher’s life become fulfilling. It may not guarantee us large amount of money, but it assures us of respect coming from the students, parents, and community.
Teaching is an engagement of heart and life. It is an affair of the whole body of a teacher. It makes us passionately consuming our time and effort without any doubts. Teacher has to make students learn the lightest possible. As Ignacio Estrada once said, “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” The teacher’s strategy is not effective when it doesn’t adapt to the needs and learning styles of the learners. Teachers should know when and how to adjust. Learning is effective when students learn best on the way they want to learn. If you force them to learn on your style, they might refuse due to the inconvenience they are experiencing. Learning is not forcing; it is deliberately happening with the guidance of the teacher.
Teaching is the avenue of world’s future. It gives our nation the chance to progress through graduates who can contribute to the economic development and growth. It provides labor force that has necessary skills suited for different industries. It also provides manpower that can compete globally. Through education, different countries admire our countrymen and where many Filipinos become popular in different industries and field of specializations.
Teaching is an art that runs through the person’s body. The art of teaching and learning takes place whenever a positive change in the behavior of the learner occurs.
