Additional this, additional that.

A K-12 victim, I mean pioneer has been dealing with so much additional as they study in high school, additional school activities, projects, etc. but the only thing that they never really expected and they weren’t informed just until it hit them between the eyes, was… what they expected to be 8, has transformed into something more, not less than 9 but definitely not exceeding 10.

Subjects. They are studying, not1, not 2, not 3, but 10, 10 subjects, and at least 9 of them were given in one day. That is what we would like to call, Overloaded Curriculum, for it is definitely overloaded, and there are boons behind the overloaded curriculum and well, boons are always held together with disadvantages.

It appears that 9 subjects a day could be very tiring and mind blowing and all, and according to some studies, overloaded curriculums may lead to something more than just tiredness, also, it may lead to something worse like certain students might find it very hard to absorb every lesson given in each subject, in a day. The students might find it even harder to review every time exams take place. It may give them stress when the time comes that their activities and exams are scheduled all at once or all at one day. It might give them the perception that school only means pain with no gain. Even the possibility that they might focus on only one subject and forget the focus about the eight other subjects may become a 99% possibility, and as all students have an idea with, one wrong move with a subject pulls all the other subjects lower than possible.

But also, the possibility that, K-12, Overloaded Curriculum is not all about disadvantages, but also boons is taking place and actions. It teaches students to develop their focus and how to manage spare time the best way. It even teaches the students of K-12 to study instead to play/ it even aims to prepare the pioneers of the curriculum on the upgraded system of college and prepares them on a more challenging level of college, and according to studies, the more you push yourself to learn more than one thing at once, the more you learn therefore, the more they push themselves, the more they learn and understand what they are studying about.

The Overloaded Curriculum which was brought about by the system called, K-12 was a boon but also a disadvantage, which well, serves them equal. So after all, additional aren’t that bad: what is a little additional note or two additional notebook?
