A great teacher is the earnest learning agent.  He/she is not afraid to embrace the abrupt changes in the field of education and has the courage to innovate oneself to be an efficient and effective teacher for the sake of the educational clientele…the learners.  Aside from these, the qualities of a modern teacher are further explained in the following:

A Modern Teacher is resourceful.  At this generation, a teacher should not only be contented on what is given, he/she should make use of a lot of resources in and out of the school for the effective delivery of the teaching competencies.

A Modern Teacher is adept in technology.  A teacher at present are required to be highly skillful in terms of technology particularly the use of computer for a lot of lessons are best taught with computer-aided equipment.

A Modern teacher is updated with the current events.  It is best for a teacher to know everything that happens around because it may directly or indirectly affect the school community as a whole.  If the teacher is cognizant on current events everything that he/she does is relevant.

A Modern Teacher is talented.  A teacher should also make use of his/her talent to inspire and influence others most especially the students.  For if they see something brilliant, there will be a possibility that learners will try to imitate it.

A Modern Teacher likes multi-tasking.  A teacher is not only a teacher but also doing a lot of tasks like being a parent, a friend, a guidance counselor, an adviser and other related tasks which will help the learners.

A Modern Teacher likes challenges.   A teacher of the present time is someone who faces challenges confidently.  He/she has the courage to pursue school undertakings and never gives up.

A Modern Teacher like personal and professional growth.  A teacher now-a-days is polishing oneself to grow personally and professional.  He/she makes his personal qualities admirable and continues to study for further growth.

These are the assets or qualities of the great modern teacher and they are truly admirable.
