Perhaps the phrase “ All the World’s Stage” is familiar to many. It is a phrase that begins a monologue from William  Shakespeare’s “ As you Like it.” The lines of the monologue compare the world to a stage and life to a play, and catalogues the seven stages of a man’s life, from infancy to incapacity. On the other hand, in this article, the classroom is likened to a Stage, wherein the actors and actresses are the teacher and the students. In the preschool, the pupil is the helpless whining school boy, it is in this stage of life that he begins to go to school. He is unwilling to leave the protected environment of his home as he is still not confident enough to exercise his own discretion. The next stage is in the Junior and Middle School, or the high school or secondary school. In this stage he is quite independent and he recognizes his crushes, sometimes silly and has a pointless manner. Meanwhile, the lead actor or actress is the teacher who shared daily teachings and information to the supporting actors and actresses, the students inside the thwarts the action of the lead actors and other supporting actors and actresses by acting as a job and finally settle for good to have a happy family. The teacher in the classroom most of the time is given the lead role, but sometimes he also acted as the villain, when he assigns unrealistic volumes of assignments. Most of the time he good in acting. He delivers his lines so well. He can sing, he can act and dances as well too. He is good in explaining what happened decades ago. He can identify the heroes and other great men of our nation. He is a good story teller and a sharp mathematician.

On the other hand, as years passed by, the lead and supporting actors are now on the stage of incapacity. The teacher or lead actor is now old and retired. The supporting actors are also about to retire. They now lost their firmness and attentiveness. They now shrinks in stature and personality.

But no matter what, all the knowledge we have acquired from the lead actor in the classroom, our teacher, will remain in our hearts and mind As the lyrics of the song put it, “ and now the time is near and so I face the final curtain.” The curtain of the stage have been dropped. The stage play has ended.
