     The development of the differentiated learning curriculum for the gifted pupils will help develop their maximum potential abilities at a faster rate through which they can acquire more skills in a shorter length of time. The advanced skills are not only learned but applied as they go out of the community so that they will become productive and useful individuals.

     The fullest possible development of every gifted and talented child’s actual and potential abilities may be enhanced through enriching the content knowledge of all learning areas. Differentiated curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the gifted pupils to develop their learning areas of strength. The skills in each subject areas are compacted. The instructional content and materials are compressed so that gifted learners will have time to work on more challenging tasks. The curriculum contains skills that develop higher order thinking: the abstract, productive, convergent, divergent, critical, creative, analytical and logical thinking.

     The differentiated curriculum help the gifted to develop the abilities, competencies and skills through use of knowledge pertaining to general intellectual ability and effectively applying them to any potentially valuable areas of human performance wherein they can show their creativity like literary works, arts, sports and cultural activities.

     The curriculum does not only focus on intellectual development but as well as the behavioral and moral development of the gifted learners. It involves high level task of commitment and leadership ability, gaining self-worth, self-sufficiency and civic responsibility both in school and in the community.
