“The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.” -Aristotle
They say that nothing is easy. Yes, that is true. Just like in the act of breathing wherein you will inhale oxygen (though it not just oxygen alone) and exhale carbon dioxide afterwards; to put it simply, YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING TO ACHIEVE OR GAIN WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED.
It is the same as education. Starting from the time you learn how to read the alphabets, write your name and count from one to ten. Until the moment you are reading complicated books, writing manuscripts and solving equations. Countless assignments, projects, review for quizzes and major exams that made up your sleepless nights during some time of the year.
It is a step-by-step process that may be at some point you find difficult to understand and giving up is the easiest escape. But it’s not. It is because that even though it is very hard, still, you must not give up and just run away with your problems like a coward. Instead, it is better to face it and surpass it head on. In that way, you will not just gain knowledge but also learn something that might be useful someday, outside the four pillars of school.
Some of the students may not have realized it yet; however, once you have passed all those obstacles, you will find yourself in the pinnacle of success. Being able to be what you wanted to be, enjoying the sweet fruits of your labour – making all your sacrifices worthwhile.
