Life goals provide the big picture of other goals. They provide an overview of the whole situation , before you look at the parts . Life goals are the framework of blueprint on which we color  in the detail. You need to know what you want out of life and why you want it, before you try to work at when, where and how you are going to get there. Life goals provide the impetus to achieve other goals :Like a battery charger, they provide the energy to keep you going. One person’s life may be to have successful career. Another to help people less fortunate than themselves, another to spend their life working and travelling the world.

Life goals and career goals are not necessarily the same thing. Life goals are bigger than career goals.Students in the K to 12 program are still uncertain  about deciding as to what course  or track they wish to pursue entering a senior high we were cater with Tract and strands namely Academic, Technical vocational and livelihood, Sports, Arts and Designs. At an early stage you  need to decide but how, You must have enough  background on career development. As a young child learn a lot about life through play activities. These activities and the fantasy elements of play are reflected in career goals. Can you remember back that far? Did you want to be a fire fighter? A police officer?,a movie star?  A doctor , an astronaut ? By the child reaches high school the learning environment has altered considerably, and with it career aspirations. The adolescent has developed literacy, numeracy, social, and physical skills and is aware of what they are good at what they enjoy, what they like doing. At this stage goals relate to personal issues and involve around family, school, sport and leisure activities. Can you remember what you want to do and be at thirteen?

In the transition from youth to adulthood, goals become more realistic and definitive. They focus on the future and acquire time frames. The learning experiences of childhood point the young adult in specific directions. Success in sports may point to a career with a strong physical component, love of math may suggest a career built around problem-solving, close  involvement with people might point you towards one of the caring professions in some cases of course more information and experience is needed before definite plan can be developed.

Some people remain undecided about their  careers, they continue to learn, and different stages of career development evolve, it may take a long time to decide where they are going and what they to do with the rest of their lives. For others, the focus is clear from the beginning they know where they want to go and what they want to do. Whichever scenario applies realistic goals and future directions are being formulated. The elements of childhood are replaced with the reality of becoming an adult.

When you set a goal, you have to make some decisions. When you make some decisions you should use all the information available to you that is about yourself – self knowledge –as  well as information gathered from other sources. These might include people you know you. However, you are the person who knows  most about yourself, and the decision will affect you most directly, so you are the one who has  to make the decision.  Accept help but realize  that to be motivated  sufficiently to carry out a task  and complete it , you have to be the one who decides to do.
