“When you try to learn music, or learn to play music, it might not be your principal focus in life, but it is a great way to infuse a section of the brain in a different way”. Those words come from Debbie Harry of Blondie. Music plays a vital role in meditation. It makes the thoughts lighter and the person tends to become positively energized, that’s why music becomes the secret of the healer as it holds feelings and emotions, joy and sorrow and love.

Considered to be the language of the soul, it touches our lives as it relieves our anxiety and improved our mood and help people process their feelings by just simply listening to the mellow music. The power of music can be felt as it soothes the inner self. It can also serve as a therapy for heart ailments, brain disfunctions, learning disabilities, depression, PTSD, Alzheimer, childhood development and the rest.

As we face the reality of life, we can be motivated by the invigorating sound of music. Studies after studies show that learning music for kids can make them smart. When the child learns to play musical instrument, he does not only learn how to make tuner, but he also enhances other capabilities of the brain. When they listen to music in the form of songs or poems, the words used in them have a great influence on their mind. They start to understand what is being delivered to them in the form of music. They start to imagine what is being sung. They try to understand the meaning of words used in them. Music becomes a language for them.

The benefit of music other than pleasure and entertainment, music develops our brain and the abilities associated with it. it is important for developing skills in children and in teaching them. Music therapy helps in healing body and some dangerous diseases. But we should also be careful about what type of music we are listening to. For example, there are some songs which have rude language or abusive words that should not be heard by the children or else they will retain them in their mind which is not good for them. But in general, music is very beneficial for all of us and should be included in everyone’s daily life.
