As what Monson said “We have to see other as what they may become”. The road to a life of a teacher is difficult along it are rough roads in understanding students where they are coming from as well as having the purpose of striving to end up in the goal of shaping this students to become the best that they can be.
I teach in a diverse class where everyone has to deal with different identity and level. It is indeed a struggle to know them by name. There are suggestion on how we can know our students better. First we have to make our class interactive which adds up in making it fun and meaningful in a student’s life. Through that we can make them feel comfortable and create an environment that will allow us to connect with them. Second engaging and attempting to relate to the students, not talk down at them. In other word with should use the word empathy as we do so we are succeeding in our goal. Lastly has activities for us to do and is more hands on and actually makes learning fun and want us to come to school not just another dreadful day waiting for the last bell to ring.
We are the author of what our class can become and what will it mean to our students. Every students has a light within them that emulates and we have to see that as their teachers. We are breakers of the wall the sets us apart from them.
As Morpugo said It the teacher that makes the difference not the classroom. May the light of every students shine upon all of us as we become the instrument in bringing it out.
