One reason why so many teachers leave their profession today is because of the issues that they facing in school nowadays—issues and policies on discrimination against children, violence against children committed in school, Bullying or Peer Abuse, Cyber Bullying and Corporal Punishment. Most of the teachers agreed that they find it hard to impose discipline in school because of these matters.

On the other side, the Department of Education in collaboration with its partners and stakeholders want to ensure that all schools are conducive to the education of children and the best interest of the child shall be their priority. With this, they are encouraging all teachers and school personnel to practice Positive and Non-Violent Discipline among school children. Every teacher should impose holistic, constructive and proactive approach to teaching that helps children develop appropriate thinking and behavior.

All schools, be it private and public are commanded to protect school children from bad company and prevent them from acquiring habits detrimental to their health, studies and morals.
