The students are pondering why science is an integral part of the curriculum. They keep on asking why this subject area is being studied from elementary to high school and most importantly in the college level.
To answer their inquisitive minds is our obligation in the field of education for we have to clarify to our learners the real essence of science to their education. Moreover, science teachers in particular should well know the reasons behind teaching the subject to their students.
Initially, science has been a part of the curriculum in the field of education all over the world for a long time. It is a subject area wherein the students will be able to learn about the natural phenomena regarding man and the things around him.
Secondly, science leads the people to a lot of discoveries on human beings, on flora and fauna, on nature, on earth as a whole and even on the entire universe. Consequently, through science, abundant and adequate information may be grasped by the curious minds of the learners that we have in our schools.
Thirdly, science answers a lot of questions concerning the problems that people and of the earth encounter. By means of this, the students through science will find the means to resolve various conditions steadfastly because science is there to guide and give direction.
Fourth, science is practically involved in our daily living as humans. All the things that we have and do are covered by science. The foods that we eat, the physical efforts that we exert in our everyday dealings and various things and activities are influenced by science.
What is amazing about science is that it can be seen everywhere we go, all the things that we perceive using our eyes are ideas in science. The transportation that we avail, the cellular phones that we utilize for communication, the internet that we use to search on, the television that we usually watch, the computers that we normally manage and a lot more are parts of science.
The genuine essence of science is prevalent and evident. The students most especially of the new generation must be able to realize the importance and practical value of science. This subject is not merely for studying purpose only instead this is a part of reality in the real world.
Science is truly very significant to learn by the youth for it will lead them to the comprehensive body of organized knowledge and certainly they will use it for their own benefits now even in the future. Start embracing the subject and find its true and notable essence.
