Leadership is the process of directing the behavior of others toward the accomplishment of some objective. In this sense, directing mean causing person to act in certain way or to follow a particular cause with the leader, in front, within or behind. Just like directing leadership is a part of management seek to do thing right; this efficiency leadership mean doing the right so, this is effectiveness. A leader is a man who has follower and deserve to have them because he has earned recognition. He is a great servant he sees thing thru the eyes of his follower, he say, and “let’s go” instead of “get going”. He also recognized the special ability and limitation of other and fit them into proper slot of service. According to J. O. Sanders, “He who is successful, in getting thing that thru other (delegation) is exercising the highest type of leadership.
Here is the key. Delegation is not assigning task to someone for which he is responsible. Delegation is assigning to someone else part of your job.
Involved in coordination is the ability to delegate word. Without delegation we will never reach our full potential as leaders. The job must be broken down into “bite size” pieces and serve with other. D.L. Moody used to say “I’d rather to put ten men to work that to do the work of ten men.
The sum – up the dynamic leader is a self starter. He create plan and set them in motion. He also has a sense of humor. He has an open mind. He set his sight on the high goals.
Every leader learned the balance between waiting and working. The essence of the effective leader is both a man of thought and a man of an action.
