Through their sacrifices and devotion to their profession, teachers have built the foundation of citizens who are successful, occupying the limelight in the world of polities, economics, medicine, engineering and other fields of adventure.

 

          The roles and functions of public school teachers have been enumerated as follows:

 

          First, they inculcate patriotism and nationalism. Second, they foster love for humanity. Third, they foster respect for human rights. They also foster appreciation of the role of national heroes in the historical development of the country. Furthermore, they teach the rights and duties of citizenship. They teach the rights and duties of citizenship. They strengthen ethical and spiritual values. They develop moral character and personal discipline. They encourage eritical thinking among their students. Lastly, they br.oaden scientific and technological knowledge.

 

I salute all teachers who continue the fight to dispel ignorancel A wise man says, “ God cannot be everywhere so He created teachers.
