Rising expectations for better social and economic conditions have causedsignificant challenges to the educational system. In the process of national development,education must be able to develop individual awareness and sensitivity in the world, the community and humanity. Education is also the means by which persons can be developed for labor force participation and serve as primary tool of improving the productivity of a nation’s manpower. Education therefore is a critical input to national development.

            The Philippine government, in order to cope up with the international standards of education have passed the law implementing the K to 12 program in the country. It is a 12 year program for learning basic education plus kindergarten instead of the old 10 year basic education. The K to 12 program covers 13 years of basic education with four key stages namely,Kindergarten to grade 3, grade 4 to 6, grade 7 to 10 ( Junior High School) and grade 11 to 12 (Senior High School). In the program, learning domain is taught to the kindergarten, Core learning Areas ( AP, English, EPP/TLE, EsP,  Filipino ,Math, MAPEH and Science) is taught to grade 1 to 6,  Core Learning Areas and exploratory Technology and Livelihood Education is for the grade7 and 8, Core learning area plus major course in TLE for Junior High School and  Core Area ( Language, Literature, Math, Philosophy, Science and Social Science) plus Tracks (Academic, Technical –Vocational Livelihood and Sports and Arts)

            The Technical -Vocational track is  geared toward the technological proficiency

of the students that will equip them with lifelong skills and knowledge which is vital when applying for a job to a private company or establishing his own business, to do this they must earn a National Certificate (NC)I,II or even higher  by passing the assessment to be  given by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

            The Technical-Vocational track in the Junior and Senior High School is taught in the form of Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) subject. It has the role of preparing the students for the work.

Grade 7 and 8 are exploratory in nature, the school will offer TLE courses based on its resources, teachers and facilities and the needs of the community is also considered. Every student is given a chance to learn from the different courses offered by their respective schools, this enables them to find their line of interest.

            Major courses offered are  Electrical Installation and Maintenance,Consumer Electronics Servicing, Automotive Servicing, Technical Drafting (ICT),  Computer Hardware Servicing, Dress Making/Tailoring, Commercial Cooking and  Agricultural Crop Production.
