“A man without Education is like a building without foundation.”-Anonymous.
Education … For us, Filipinos, this word is more than a word because for us, it’s one of the most important things that we can all have. We see Education not just a word written in every dictionary but it’s the word that can light the darkest days of our lives and save us from the edge of ignorance.
Nowadays, not all of us is very blessed to have proper education and attend school. Some want to go to school but they can’t because of poverty, while others have the chance to be enrolled in school but they waste it and let the laziness went over them. In addition, some dream to be in school and do their best to make that wish come true for their future to be better. They worked and study at the same time.
In our generation, we can all observe the increasing number of undergraduates who suffer and experience difficulty in life because most of the companies only hire the people who have College Degree. In these days, number of undergraduates is enduring the low salary, criticism, and hard works just to earn money for their family, but still, they remain poor because their income is just enough to make them survive for the whole day. That’s how life of a man without Education fells like, so difficult… even though he’s making all the effort, he can’t get out to the room of poverty.
The thing called education is a big word and can make a difference to our future. Having a diploma is not only showing that you survived years of sitting in the four corners of the classroom, listening to the long lectures of teachers, turning the pages of tons of books, and constructing unique and hard projects to impress your teachers but it’s all about showing the world that you now have your passport to a better future, key to many opportunities, and a strong foundation that can make you withstand all the hardship.
“A man without Education is like a building without foundation.” This only proves that in order to be a strong person who’s always ready for future, you need a better foundation and that’s the thing called EDUCATION. This is the only thing that can last through millennium and no one can steal it from us.
