A classroom in the elementary level may seem incomplete without flash cards. Flash cards are tools to provide learning in different subjects. They help pupils learn by repetition of by associating words with pictures or objects. They also help students recognize letters, perform basic Math functions, and construct simple sentences.

Teachers can use flash cards to reach pupils how to construct simple sentences. The teacher may separate the flash cards into piles for sentence parts like nouns, verbs, adjectives and helpers. The student then selects a card   from each pile and places them in the proper order to form a complete sentence.

Flash cards can be also used to teach Mathematics. Everyday drills and reviews are usually backed up with this instrument. Since then I never fail to see addition, subtraction,

Multiplication and division exercises flashed in a classroom. A teacher can also reinforce subjects by using flash cards. Games may also be facilitated in different ways using this tool.

There are a number of teaching materials and pedagogies that most likely are here to stay. Even though technology evolves from time to time, still, this stuff won’t fade away as long as they contribute in the teaching and learning process.

Flash cards and other teaching resources are important but what counts the most is how the teacher utilizes these things to maximize learning.
