Lots of knowledge and skills are expected to be acquired by a Master Teacher. She is also expected to be a great help to the school head in implementing and carrying out the policies and guidelines of the school to improve its’ achievement level.

Being a Master Teacher in a school connotes expertise not only in the content area, but also in the curriculum together with other accompanying skills. One of these skills to be acquired by a Master Teacher (MT) is the skill in writing, either journalistic or creative.   Communicating clearly in writing, is one skill that a Master Teacher ought to acquire.  One of the job responsibilities of an MT is to construct and submit district, division, or even regional reports.

It will be of great help for the school head to have someone to help her ,in for instance, constructing Reply letters, Acknowledgements, confirmations, appreciations, congratulations, Disagreements, Follow-ups, Fund-Raising, Goodwill, Invitations, Memoranda, References, Recommendations, Proposals, Requests, Inquiries, Thank You ,Query or even Sensitive Letters, and in whatever other jobs a Master Teacher can offer.  Different kinds of letters may be constructed by even an ordinary teacher.  Therefore, it is necessary for everyone, particularly those assigned by the school principal to facilitate some of her responsibilities; however, due to lack of manpower, some teachers are tasks to help her in answering some forms of correspondences.   Teachers must brush up their second language proficiency for many reasons.  An MT must be able to use the appropriate terms for different kinds of letters, especially now that many appropriate words have been added in making modern business letters.
