Sometimes differently abled person feels different when he sees a normal person but thinking that he can be able to do what others do like playing different kind of sports, the feeling of incompleteness for himself tends to be complete that he has great family, great friends and school who accept him for what really he takes and by having a positive outlook and perseverance in life even at young age.
People who are differently abled sometimes focuses in sports, this can influence them to be a normal. The confidence for himself makes them realize that they have a great lifeand it helps them to how to be a strong person. Sometimes sports breaks the wall of their incapabilities with a normal person.
The role of parents in their differently abled child or children is very important. Parents must support his/her sports in the most probable way they can. They let them hold on to his dream and fulfill and develop his personality. The encouragement, full support, care and unconditional love makes people who are differently abled as a fighter for his dream. Through sports they become a normal person it makes him/her to have a perseverance and help him to boost their self-esteem inspite of his condition. They can prove that the impossible becomes possible if you believe in yourself and in God our Creator that everything has a reason.
As a secondary MAPEH teacher let them mingle with regular or normal peers and experience how to propel a wheelchair during wheelchair basketball. Let them play seated volleyball, play bocce or bowling while blindfolded. In that way his/her attitude may change toward those person with disabilities. Let them experienced it…No one can change someone but I believe, through compassion; and having this compassion and heart toward these children who are differently abled, we can empower them despite having their situation, they are still part of the community, functioning as normal as everyone else.
