It is not easy to be a Grade I teacher. But It can be enjoyable too! So here are some tips
- Relax.
Breathe in, breathe out. You’ll survive it somehow!
- Think that Grade 1 pupils are playful but they are lovable too.
- Learn to listen to more experienced teachers.
- Be patient.
- Love your pupils.
Sure, they can be “makulit” but each day, you’ll discover that they are lovable too and they can be ‘malambing.”
It is never wrong to listen to our seniors. They can give advice when problems arise.
A long string of patience is what you’ll need. When the child throws tantrums, they can be messy. Be patient and avoid bursting to anger.
As what we always say, “all we need is LOVE”. It is the key to better teacher-pupil relationship.
