A MotivatedTeachersis an Inspiring, Engaging, Passionate and AmazingHumanBeing ! To be a teachertodayisbothchallenging and demanding. It takes passion, commitment, care and resilience to successfullymakeitfrom the first day to the last day of school. Without a doubt, motivated teachers contribute to the success of the school therefore, it is important to have motivated teachers and staff. An administrator should make it a point that her teachers always have the drive to aspire for excellence, that they are committed to exceed expectations. Here are afew ways to motivate them and inspire their best.

1. Be an effective communicator. Always talk to your staff openly and honestly. Always be sure that the entire staff is included when holding this type of meeting. If a teacher or staff member is not present for the discussion, be sure to meet with him individually afterward. Never leave the responsibility of communication to someone else.

2. Hold contests. Throughout the school year, hold fun-field contests to encourage the teachers to work for a prize. An example is about the “model classroom”. Just like the students, when teachers are motivated to win the prize, they will tend to work harder and more efficiently. Challenge them. They want to excel in their craft. Let them prove it.

3. Expose teachers talent. Assign fun jobs for the teachers to do in their spare time, such as bulletin board decorating. When you find a teacher natural talent, use it to give her a temporary break from the daily routine of the classroom. A teacher who is inspired and empowered to use their talents will perform continuously at their peak.

4. Attend workshops. Encourage your teachers to attend trainings and workshops that promote motivation and hands-on activities. No one wants to sit in a seminar all evening, so be sure that when you scheduled trainings they are fun and lively.

5. Host a teacher appreciation banquet. Host an appreciation banquet each year for the teachers and school families. Acknowledge an accomplishment for each teacher and hand out rewards for a job well done. Nurture greatness. If anyone can appreciate a commitment to lifelong learning, it is a teacher.

School administrators play a big role in motivating their teachers to perform well. Success is always at hand when the staff performs. Remember that if there are factors motivating teachers, the productivity will increase spectacularly.

With the upcoming school year ahead, become a master at making opportunities to Inspire- within each of your teachers. Encourage them to set aside complaints, past frustrations, excuses, conditions and demands, and make a place for continuous motivation and happiness in their world.
