“Don’t’ ask your country what it can do for you. But, ask yourself what you can do for your country. ”

A famous quote stated by ex-US President John F. Kennedy. In the past few years, Filipino proved that they are willing to fight for their freedom and for the honor of their homeland. In our early civilization we have our own concept of government. We already have our “Datus and Rajas” who are known to be the greatest when it comes in battle. The concept of government changed  as we are invaded by different countries. These country influence the kind of government that we have. In the Spanish colonization, the Spaniards are the only one who have the right to be in the position. We’ve got our concept of government by the Americans. The kind of government such this where questioned because of the discrimination of women to take any position in the government. History was made when ex-President Cory Aquino was proclaimed as the new president which brought back democracy in the country. Now, in Bataan another part of history was made. The first ever transwoman  to have the position in the government. People of Bataan were proud of her because we believe that it’s not about the gender to serve your countrymen, it’s about the passion of serving your people with a heart.
