An effective teacher employs a variety of teaching strategies to set the tone for mind-activities in the classroom. The teacher’s strategies should not be limited to chalk talk or lectures. He should devise a method for students to engage in wholesome activities that do not pique their interest but rather tap into whatever potential they have. Participation is encouraged in various activities that may challenge students to think critically and creatively.

            To achieve learning, teachers used a variety of instructional materials to deliver their lessons. Every student is unique, and the teacher should always keep this in mind. As a result, a wide range of instructional materials, activities, and instructions are essential.

What factors must we consider when creating instructional materials? The first is the human factor, which reveals information about both the teacher and the learner. Individual differences should be considered because each learner has different learning preferences. Some people prefer to learn by observation, and we refer to them as visual learners. Some people prefer to learn by listening, and these people are known as aural learners. Another factor to consider is the number of students. Another consideration is for the teacher to select a medium of media that is appropriate for the students.

Students’ motivation, self-esteem, self-confidence, and academic achievement improve when they use good and effective instructional materials. It also fosters higher-level thinking abilities. It gives students a one-of-a-kind opportunity to put their skills and talents to use while also interacting with others in a safe environment.

In closing although preparation of instructional materials is quite tiring and time consuming, as a dedicated teacher nothing is impossible and beyond boundaries!
