K to 12 Program is on its third year of implementation.  Significantly, it is being adopted in our educational system with logical and worthwhile aims or objectives to wit:

To strengthen early childhood education.  With the mandatory kindergarten education, the child will primarily be prepared before entering the elementary level.  He or she will be taught with the basic knowledge and be endowed with strong foundation which are valuable rudiments of learning before facing the much challenging and complex learning experiences.

To provide with the curriculum relevant to learners. The K to 12 Program provides a much fitting set of subjects and learning experiences to the students.  It will lead every Filipino child to deal with knowledge, skills, activities and undertakings which are suited to be learned and acquired in order for him/her to be functional or productive.  Furthermore, the learner will be transformed to be adept with the essential things that he/she needs to learn for present and future use.

To instruct integrated and seamless learning.  The new curriculum is composed of a variety of worthwhile subjects which are interrelated and interconnected  for the learners to grasp different knowledge and learning experiences which will develop themselves to be more prolific, dynamic or fruitful.

To build proficiency through language.  Primarily, the new curriculum gives much importance to mother tongue.   In this way, the child will gain much proficiency on his/her native language.  Moreover, the child will attain much understanding of various concepts or ideas in learning at the same time it will sharpen his ability or proficiency in the usage of his/her native language. 

To gear up for the future.  It is evident that the very reason why the government chose K to 12 Program it is because a lot of successful and progressive countries already implemented it in their educational system.  K to 12 Program not only provides education but also prepares the child in dealing and facing the future.  The child will be equipped with much better and fitted skills in order to survive prospective challenges in the real world.

To transform the learner to be a holistically developed Filipino. In K to 12 Program, not only a few aspects of the individual will be developed and enhanced.  It aims to further develop and improve the child holistically in order to achieve maximum potentials.  By means of this, he/she will be much prepared to face tomorrow and will be much abreast and confident to lead a better life not only for his/her sake but also for the benefit of his country and for his fellowmen.

Truly, K to 12 Program carries better aims for the Filipinos and for the entire nation as well.
