Nowadays, several variables like socio-economic status, personality traits and human behaviors, teachers and schools influence achievement. These variables may or may not be a hindrance to a child’s education.

Education is for all. Not only the rich are given the chance to educate themselves, even the poor has opportunity to go to school and learn. Teachers teach them to become individuals with strong determination to acquire knowledge and be successful in life.

Today, even the physically and mentally handicapped pupils are catered in school through the Special Education program. SPED centers and SPED teachers give them special education services, that inspite of their disabilities, they can achieve their goals in life through learning in school just like normal children.

Different teacher behaviors and methods have different effects to different pupils, grades, subjects, classroom groups and school settings. Pupils look up to their teachers as role models. They imitate their actions and copy their behaviors. Positive attitude towards teaching will give pupils good concepts on what learning is, while negative behavior of teachers will have adverse effects on learning. Some pupils may like a very lenient teacher, but some may find a strict teacher a good facilitator. Different teaching methods and strategies have different effects to different pupils, grades and subjects. Teachers should adapt teaching methods to the needs of the pupils, different approaches for every grade level, and teaching strategy suited to the skills to be developed in every subject. In classroom groups and school settings, approaches and methods used for the regular classes are different than that of special classes.
