Children are known to be marvelously tough, pliable and teachable. They are interested to learn, need immediate goals routine. However, there are still a number of children who are victims of unequal teaching. Posted Cecilio Duka’s Reviewer for the Licensure Examination for Teachers, victims of unequal teaching are the children who are under taught, overtaught, mistaught, and those who are not taught.
Children who undertaught. They fail to learn what they could learn and fall behind others and become discouraged. They might develop dislike for school and escape from schooling at earliest opportunity.
Children who are overtaught. They become bored with school for the taste time in overlearning, They might develop distaste for learning and may fail to find themselves.
Children who are mistaught. They may learn to dislike or fear some subjects. They grow up half educated and may fail to ddevelop broad base for further learning.
Children who are not taght. They respond less to their environment. Worse, they may remain ignorant of important realms of human experience.
Teachers have big piles of responsibilities as they stand to their profession. They cause others to learn. They also exert a considerable influence in the life of other people specifically the children under their care. Hopefully , guided by the mission and vision of the Department of Education, there with be no more victims of unequal teaching in all insttutions.
