Wellness is being healthy and sane. It is very salient that focus on the wellness of educators be given a priority. At this time, everybody is living in very anxious surroundings. Any profession is bound to experience a lot of stress and teaching definitely is on top of the list. Teaching is the most stressful profession. Having said so, wellness programs should be implemented so teachers would be healthy mentally, emotionally, and physically. Wellness programs are programs provided by the employer to help the employee overcome certain health-related issues.
So how does government secure the overall wellness of the teachers? What are the effects of a teacher’s wellness on his students?
Government should address the continued mental and emotional impacts of the pandemic to the learners and educators as these negativities, pressures, and tensions affect their performance and value. The level of stress should be reduced if not completely deleted. Healthy working environments are essentials for the teacher’s productivity. And I believe that there is a connection between the teacher’s mental and emotional status to the learning outcomes of the students. Teachers who are stress-free provide a more conducive learning environment to the learners rather than those who are mentally and emotionally stressed. The well-being of teachers reciprocates to the performance, value, and attitude towards the job.
