Educators play big role in cultivating the love for education in students to reach their ambitions, instill self-discipline, promote creative thinking and emphasize the importance of interactive education between parents and children.
Educators must be also open to changes and innovation. We must cope with the rapid changes in technology and kept up with trends that younger generations practice .
We need to impart knowledge , wisdom and skills to our students; develops their powers of reasoning and judgement ; and opens mind to field of education.
More important than giving knowledge and skill, high grades, and certificates or diplomas is seeing the students put to practice what they learn.
They should become great men of intellect and extensive research, reflect God’s character in dealing with people, and prepare themselves for a more responsible life in this world.
Education is an instrument in helping our country become progressive.
The state of our country ‘s economy today tells a lot about quality of our educational system. We’d like to believe that the problem lies in budget, insfrastructure, teachers , parents and society. But the real problem lies in our rotting educational system.
Many educators do not exactly know , why they are in the profession. Teaching to them, becomes a means to an end—to survive.
Some don’t care whether their students learn as long as they get their monthly salary. This shocking realities exist in many schools. We are aware of them but refuse to do something about them.
True education is needed “ to train the youth to be thinkers, and not mere reflectors of other men’s thought” as well as to prepare them to become responsible leaders in society.
Let’ s understand our roles and their impact upon society and family, so our efforts in improving education will not be in vein.
Let us remember that as educators, a lot depends upon us.
