Creativity is seen in various ways but it is truly evident in a teacher.  One way to prove a teacher’s worth is through his or her creativity.  So, the existing question is what makes a creative teacher?

To answer this very interesting question, these are the realities that prove a teacher’s creativity in the classroom as well as in the entire school.

A teacher who is creative must possess curiosity and has the desire to learn the needs and interests of the learners.  He/she must search things about the students, their wants, requests, wishes and inclinations.  Apparently, look for the best ways to suffice them for their development and progress.  A creative teacher must have a ‘secure knowledge base’ most especially in dealing with the learners.

Another thing to prove teacher’s creativity is through his/her pedagogy and teaching approaches. He/she must be updated with the latest trends in teaching that will suit the minds and energies of the current generation.  Moreover, in the new age of learning, the creative teacher must utilize the advantages of the modern technologies most especially in the day to day teaching in school.

A teacher may be creative if he/she follows new philosophy in the teaching field. He/she sets a new culture and paradigm of learning.  He/she does not remain stagnant in the conventional setting but instead goes out the way in further reaching a better way of learning. It is just like taking a good risk for the benefit of the learners.  Creative teachers are not afraid to set new trends in order to refresh and invigorate the teaching-learning procedure.

More importantly, a creative teacher always keeps on evolving.  He/she always redefines his personal qualities and seeks for professional growth not only for his/her own sake but for the betterment of others.  It seems that creativity is not for the teacher alone but for the benefit of the schoolchildren.  It is true in the saying that you cannot give what you don’t have that is why a creative teaching keeps on his/her acquisition of essential knowledge and values.

These are the means to prove a teacher’s creativity.  In doing so a teacher may find himself/ herself in the pinnacle of his/her teaching prowess that is truly admirable and exemplary.
