It is the bread and butter of Mathematics teacher, the debit of an accountant, and the home of an architect.
Based on the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Algebra is a branch of Mathematics that uses numbers and letters that represent numbers. Applications of algebra may not be seen directly to the person’s life, but it is visible in person’s belief and attitude. It teaches us how to find solutions on the problems that we are facing. It may not solve it swiftly, but it helps us in eliminating negative variables. It shows the equation of life that is life is equivalent to happiness plus sadness. This shows us the reality that our life has storm and struggle, but it is up to us on how to make it happy and fun. It guides us to make negative becomes positive by transposing them. It is the only subject that lets two negatives become one positive when you multiply. Algebra is not about finding the value of X, but it is on how you stand to get its value.
Geometry is a branch of Mathematics that deals with points, lines, angles, surfaces, and solids. In real life, there are practical uses of geometry starting from the basic up to the complex things. Take for example the materials inside your classroom; space and line is needed to properly place chairs, tables, cabinets, and bulletin boards. The size and area of each material is a must to know, because it will greatly affect how it will fit into your classroom, and it can also affect how other parts would locate and fit inside the room. At home, geometry is present. When couple wants to build their own house they have to consider its surface. In agriculture, geometry is also evident. Remember when the owner of the farm is building reservoir, he needs to consider the volume of water to be stored. The farmer has to be known the depth of water, the length and width of reservoir, and the size of land where water can spread.
Statistics is a branch of Mathematics dealing with the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of masses of numerical data. Because of this area, researcher finds an easy time during the gathering of data. Researcher can identify the problem to look for a solution. With this, data can be processed to become meaningful information. He makes sure that data is presented properly. At the end, researcher can interpret the results, because of the statistical treatment he used. Aside from that researcher can make his own recommendations for the further development of a research.
