Many things have been said about the teaching profession.” It is the noblest of all the profession.”” It is a many-sided task”. “ It is the soul and the moving spirit of the educational system. Without the teaching profession, no other profession could have existed.
Teaching is not just a job. It is more than that. It appeals to us and we are attracted to it. It is not just calling it is a mission to carry out. We teachers are called not only to teach, to instruct pupils in our subject or facilitate learning but also to constantly nurture them and to be a good influence on them to love the learning. Teachers have the power to make difference in the life of the learners.
Being a teacher is a great experience. And teaching has its own rewards except materials. We were regarded with much respect. Another thing that satisfies a teacher is that you are always remembered by your pupils or students. Whenever a former student saw you he cheerfully greets you because you were remembered as her teacher. In some conversation with others, your name will be mentioned and cited, your good exceptional traits. A pupil was even proud of you because you touches their lives in some ways.
Indeed, being a teacher is priceless. No amount of money can compensate on it. Our society truly considers teaching as the best profession and vocation.
