Strengthening quality education is one of the basic directions of our educational system. Although readings may show 90% literacy rate yet we can truly say that DepEd turnout of literacy is not an answer to quality education. If we look at the data it seems that we can only show that Filipinos have access to education but not truly gaining quality education.
Society has provided a lot of differences and inequalities so that our people are in different status in economic standards income level, quality of exposure to formals non-formal education. What do we see and observe children who are coming from wealthy families perform better or tend succeed better is not because they go to private expensive school but because of their experience outside the school is much broads and much fulfilling. No matter what DepEd will do to narrow down in order to give quality education it seems to be far realistic because there are considerations and constraints to do it. It is true that the system is trying all possibilities by using different techniques strategies such as putting more classes, lowering teacher-pupil ratio, quality textbooks, quality teacher through training in hope to bring out quality education.
K to 12 is merely engaging an additional 2years for basic education and to produce sheeted individuals who can be economically productive. Let us look at K to 12 with diversity and innovation by experimentation in order for us to develop our own internal approach to problem in order to farther examine and introduce modification.
