As the world faces a serious health and safety threat, amidst the pandemic, many workplaces are rapidly adapting operations to do their jobs at home or also known as “work from home”. A work arrangement in which employees do not travel to a certain place for work to prevent the spread of the virus.

Many had considered the contingency that the world’s economy might be shaken to its foundations if different community quarantine will persist.  As part of our role to continue our lives to live and in putting a stop to the deleterious spread of the virus, most of the private and public institutions have gone through the idea of work from home.

Research says that there is  no one-size-fits all  approach to work from home arrangements. Some people may be productive at home and others may not. Working from home takes a lot of dedication, self-control, and discipline as distractions and losing drive can easily occur. However, the convenience of being at home is tremendously comforting than in any other places especially in this time of pandemic.

The distinction between “working at home” and “being at home” causes dilemma in situations like this. Issue and problems merge together in one place which made it more challenging. According to Basile and Beauregard “When work and home activities take place in the same physical space, physical, temporal and psychological boundaries between work and home can become blurred,”

Our world is already on its way to the New Normal as no one knows when would this crisis be over. We are barely half year fighting through this pandemic and what should be apparent is that we should all be ready to adapt new changes as the new normal comes to us. Changes; that could affect us mentally, emotionally and physically.
