We always say individual differences matters a lot, very true! Just like you my beloved students. Year after year your concept about who and what you are passes through a fast phasing. Most of you can’t even understand nor explain your own behavior. Have you heard of the phrase self- concept? Self- esteem? How do you feel when you do something good or delightful? Or when you think you looked great in your new get ups? When you got high or low grades? When you offended someone or vice-versa when you got offended yourself?

Students, all these feelings are all related to “your very own self- concept and self-esteem”. How’s that you may ask? Technically speaking, your “self-concept” is simply defined as your picture of yourself.

Whereas, your self-esteem is actually how you feel about that picture of yourself. A little confused? To make a better understanding here’s more to learn. Your self-esteem composes your feelings about all areas of your life and your self-concept relates as to how you look and think how you look!

In the other words, build yourselves up! Life is good! Make a way to think positive in your daily lives. Read a lot of things which has sense. Study well! After all it’s your main goal why you are in school. Get along with your good classmates. Be health conscious. Eat a lot of vegies, fruits, and poultries. Eat with a match size meat daily, drink lots of water. Stay away from vices! It will make you sick and shortens your life. Love and respect your elders, always do what is right and good. Be God fearing. God blesses those who seeks God, and lastly value yourself. Guard your self-concept and your self-esteem. Because you are what you make out of yourself. Love yourself before others will love you. Yes… just a piece of thought for you to ponder.
