Saying “I Can” is a powerful way to gain the support and skills of others, however, many on this organization believe that intelligence gives a person his rightful place in the sun. While others believe that his guts and determination are what make a person achieve his goals. Others believe that both are needed for a teacher to achieve his goals.
For a teacher, what are these goals? First of all, the goal of making his students excel in academic performance, another is to raise his position by saying “I Will” & “I Can”.
How can teachers do this? Of course, possessing innate talents to handle from simple to most complicated situations. When he/she promises to “He Will” and “He Can”, he will really do the task no matter what happens. He must couple it with guts and determination to succeed. If a teacher believes in something, this will lead you to act to support that belief, and if that belief is correct, the result will reinforce the belief. As Gini Graham Scoot puts it” if you believe you can give a speech an a certain topic to a group and you have the necessary information, you will usually be able to give the speech successfully. And that in turn, will reinforce your belief in your ability to give good speeches.
One reason according to Tapalla, lies on the attitudes of the person himself. The right attitude, help tremenduously, like being positive even in the face of the most trying situations. These positive-minded people always believe that behind the dark clouds, there is always a silver lining. “No situation is that hopeless…” No matter what tasks need to be accomplished, you are above the situation. A teacher doesn’t need to have super intelligence to be in control, he just need a common sense, guts and determination to control the “seemingly uncontrollable.” Another way to achieve your goals is to focus on your good qualities and empower yourself. This approach works because the action reinforces the belief. If you believe something to support that belief, that belief is correct, the result will reinforce the belief.
Still other qualities that achievers must possess are total self-confidence. Even an average person with an average IQ can possess this well- admired quality.
Beginning today, say“I Will” and “I Can” in every challenges that come along.
