ICT is an acronym which means Information and Communication Technology, it is the study of using technology to process information or data, it’s also serves as one of the aid of communication, this includes the personal computers, digital television, robots, etc.

            There are many basic Information and Communication Technology terms that we often use. Attachment, BCC or the blind carbon copy, block list, bounces, CC or the carbon copy, the catch all, digest, digital signatures, email client, email lists, emoticon, filter, footer, header, the internet in which it is an electronic communication networks that connects computer networks and organizational computer facilities around the world, and etc. Another one is the bandwidth; it measures the rate at which the information travels through internet connections. On the other hand, the Web 2.0 is the second generation of World Wide Web and a user-generated content for the growth of social media, wherein people can now collaborate with the other people and to share information through internet connection. There are many basic terms that we acknowledge because of its use. Too many to mention, too many to know, but it can be helpful in e-learning, it is a form of learning that uses internet to gain information and knowledge.

            In teaching social studies, it is also necessary to use technology as it process information, we are able to send our lectures to our students through e-mail, and it can also be done through Facebook, and many more social media account. Teachers can spend fewer hours in doing their lessons handouts materials, and this handout is usable for as long as we can keep it in our computers. It is also useful in an open and distance, it is a two-way communication that allow the teacher and the learners to interact through the use of digital products and a way of sharing and passing information from time to time.
