Reading is the magic key  to take you where you want to be.

         Ensuring that children are given varied opportunities  at home and in school that will not only lead children to read books but also make them well rounded and responsible individuals, teachers must conduct a basic remedial reading program.

 

         The program should aim to develop the reading fluency of the pupils , enjoy and love reading , share thoughts on facts of life  and develop the reading comprehension of pupils who are categorized  in the frustration level based from their Phil IRI and Oral Reading Test  results.

          Different stories must be presented with different activities such as Origami wherein they made characters of the story out of papers, puzzles, games, drawings that made the whole activity worthwhile and enjoyable.

          Teachers must used wide-ranging and modified approaches , strategies, methodologies and activities on the progress of the program. Provide different , fruitful and fun time for the children.

          The cooperation of the parents with the teachers and the assistance and support of the school head in conducting the said program will play an important role .

          Great number of fast reader in the post test result of Oral Reading Test and improvement of their comprehension abilities and reading fluency from frustration to instructional level  of PHIL IRI in English and Filipino will be the evidence of the efficacy of the program.

           Truly, reading brings young people to the joys of new and enriching language , the joys of imagination and to a great extent the joys of learning.
