Education is indeed an innovative process. It goes along with the changing times based on the demands of the society.
In the secondary education, a Special Program in the Arts (S.P.A) was introduced by the Department of Education to meet and address the needs of the students.
With this, the Bataan National High School SPA offers a comprehensive secondary education program centered in the arts, covering a range art forms and discipline. Arts education is an integral component of a balanced education program in all year’s levels, which also provide the background for the post-secondary level work.
VISION
Special Program in the Arts envisions an excellent young artist with aesthetic potential and renewed spiritually committed to the preservation of the Filipino culture and Heritage.
OBJECTIVES
- Develop students with Special inclination to music, visual arts, theater arts, creative writing and dance
- Develop students to express their ideas and feelings through their chosen art forms
- Develop a sense of nationalism through deepened appreciation of Filipino cultures and art.
- Development aesthetic awareness and perception
- Develop the General skills and attitudes, the habits of heart and mind students will need preparation for life and work in a post modern society regardless of their chosen career
This recognition of excellence can be attributed to all S.P.A teachers and students especially to BNHS principal who has strongly manifested her support to S.P.A activities.
