Pursuant to the 1987 Constitution that the State shall defend the right of children to assistance, including proper care and nutrition, and special protection from all forms of neglect, abuse, cruelty, exploitation and other conditions prejudicial to their development (Article XV, Section 3 [2]).

In line with this policy and guidelines, the teachers have been more attentive on how to face different cases of abuse and how to adopt the policy to provide special protection to children who are gravely threatened or endangered by circumstances which affect their normal development and over which they have no control. Teachers are also aware to the special protection from all forms of abuse and exploitation and care as is necessary from the child’s well-being.

The status of Child Abuse and Related Complaints Referred to Central Office such as Physical, Verbal and Sexual Abuse and Violence inflicted by Teachers & Other School Personnel is now alarming. Physical, verbal and sexual abuse and violence among children have been increasingly reported. That is why the duties and responsibilities of schools which to ensure the institution of effective child protection policies and procedures are always monitoring.

Every teacher and even parents practice preventive measures and strategies to protect the children inside and outside the school premises. The school always ensure that the accessibility and availability of the whole range of services needed by the client within a given. The teachers always prioritize the caring and protective environment of the children because of the policy framework and legal parameters safeguarding children’s right protection.
