In congruence with the above line, teaching a subject particularly Social Studies should amuse the minds of the learners and eventually yield the best from them.
Now-a-days in doing this, Social Studies should be transformed into an inviting subject abreast with advancements and innovations thus satisfying the taste and expectations of the learners.
The emergence of computer revolution is truly fitting to the demands in teaching social science. The magic of audio-visual powers as emitted by the computer machines may create a good impression upon the learners in studying the usual theories and facts in the subject.
There are videos or film showings which feature the glimpse of our history. The usual stories being read in the thick books are now being witnessed by the keen eyes of the learners. The simulations made by experts are now being presented in order to ease the boredom among the students in their study of social sciences.
Fortunately, the rigid teachings and trainings in the long past are no longer applied in the school scenarios. Aside from the gentle and loving treatment in the school at present, quality is being aimed for the sake of the learners. That is why the teaching of Social Studies has greatly evolved.
Aside from the aid of the latest inventions of science and technology which assist the teaching of Social Studies, the teacher are currently employing the most effective way of winning the hearts of the students in the study of Social Studies.
Using the latest methods and strategies in teaching are the evident approaches that Social Studies teacher utilize. Also, they maximize the use of multiple intelligences among the students in order to encourage them to participate, appreciate and love the subject.
It is in doing these notions that would build the idea of a contemporary Social Studies class. The students are in the center of the teaching-learning process and at the same time being given quality and effective instructions.
Technology, methodology and approach are the keys in its realization.
