Cooperative Learning better known as Learning Barkadas as clearly defined is a set of instructional methods in which the pupils work for a learning purpose together. It embraces a wide variety of strategies to promote both academic / non – academic learning through working together as a group or barkadas. It also understood that the pupils help each other share ideas, concepts, preferences and scheme cooperatively on what and how to study and to learn.
There are some situations that needs cooperative learning as the room manager which is the teacher, should strictly follow and these are;
- Use open – ended problem solving application that call for clarification and strategies for finding solutions.
- Give lessons that provide opportunities for pupils to apply.
- Deliver activities that demand cooperative thoughts and thinking.
