We should treat our child as our best friend.
Respect is an important part of love, treating others with high regard, honor, and esteem. Wondering how different this word would be if everyone lived out this dictionary definition of respect within the family, among friends, and when associating with coworkers and strangers.
Recently, a Filipino teacher lost her temper for slapping a misbehaving student in Bangkok which resulted in her losing a high-paying job. We should always include respect that implies consideration for the right of one another to be unique and free to make age-appropriate decisions.
Keep in mind that even though how bad the decision turned out, we must manage to be calm, cool and composed as expected of a teacher under pressure.
Respect our students as member of God’s creation. Each has individual needs, different abilities, and a growing capacity to reason and accept consequences. Treat them with dignity they deserve. Let us look for the good in the child rather than on the bad.
Ideally, Deal with our student with respect and you will have a better chance of getting the same in return. Respect need to be earned. Too many teachers demand respect while acting in ways that tend to make children rebel. Well, it is about time to start today because it is never too early to begin treating students with respect.
Always remember that respect others feelings and you will find them more willing to cooperate and enjoy the greatness of our responsibility.
