In this modern era where we are surrounded by gadgets and technologies, teaching must be effective so that our learners will be inspired to attend their classes. To know what makes an effective teaching, one must understand the important task of a teacher. We all know that the teacher is the key factor in teaching-learning situation, so she must be prepared and be knowledgeable of the subjects or the lessons that she’s going to teach because teachers with good understanding of the subject matter can organize effectively what is to be taught. She must know more than what is written in the textbook. She should have enough information to share to his/her pupils.

An effective teacher is not born. Teaching competence can be gained through hardwork and sincere desire to learn and improve. Thus, if there are opportunities to attend the programs and trainings of the DepEd, teachers must be willing to participate regardless of age. Teachers need to embrace and adopt the new way of transferring knowledge to pupils and must have that desire to grow.

The big challenge today lies in the hand of every teachers for in their hands an important task was given – that is shaping the heart and the mind of our youth.
