“Patience“as the one of the core values in the field of teaching in the elementary level, can give more credit to become a goodteacher. The character needs in teaching,to pave the way in a much more material success in life achievements. In the real scenarios that happens inside the classroom such as; discussions, note taking, experiments and other activitiesinside and outside expect the unexpected to deal with the situations with patience.
How much of school happiness and comfort depends upon the exercise of patience! Not a day passes for its exercise from those who sustain the nearest and dearest relation to each other (pupils). Teachers need to be patient with their pupils. They are weak (children), and you are strong (teachers). Children stand at the gate of life. Experience has not taught them to speak carefully and to go softly. Whatifchildrens’ learning, plays and activity do tend to have irritating or unpleasant effect on your feelings? Here are some ways to bear practices to be patient for children while in the school premise.
- Be compassionate by understanding the weaknesses of children intellectual, emotional and social aspects that bears into problems at school.
- Be ready for the unexpected circumstances and always find ways to deal with the problems.
- Never ever bring the problem inside the classroom or school so that will not cause into troubles. The mind will stick to the responsibility and duties.
- Good health condition is very important to give a tender actions and movements to children who made a mistakes or troubles on his/her learning.
- Bear in mind the possible consequences when you makea mistake in dealing with children; be calm so that whatever you do still you’re on the right track.
- Recognize the unique differences of childrenwho need guidance, attention, support and help on their learning in orderto find remedy and enhancement to the problem of children.
- Remind yourself that your profession is a teacher who also a helper not a destroyer a builder of their potential through confidence to themselves.
- Communicate with gentle voice, use words for introducing right and wrong set an example truly happened so that guilt in realizing the mistakes will challenge for a change and persevere to dowell in school and home.
Patience is the guardian of faith, the preserver of peace, the cherisher of love, the teacher of humility. Be patient with children. They are neitheromniscient (knowing all things) nor omnipotent (infinite power). They cannot see your heart, and may misunderstand you. They do not know what is best for you, and may select what is worst. What if, also, they lack purity of purpose or tenacity of affection, do not lack these graces? Patience is a refuge.
